10 Historical Figures of Foshan
These artworks are my major commissions. The city I live, Fosha, selects 10 famous people from the history who can represent Foshan's spirit. They are Kang Youwei, Zhan Tianyou (or Jeme Tien Yow), Chen Qiyuan, Huang Feihong (or Wong Fei-hung), Bruce Lee (or Li Xiaolong), Ou Shizi, Chen Ruyue, Huang Shaoqiang, Lun Wenxu, and Feng Liaoxing. It is a very challenging and interesting programme because some of them were born hundreds years ago. I have to read lots of books in local library and even imagine their images through sentences. Bruce Lee must be my most favourate one. I believe all the people in Foshan are proud of him. I don't want to show his kungfu through his muscles, but through his Wude (ethics of kungfu like protecting vulnerable groups). This is what makes him a master. Portrait of my family
These portraits come from my family, especially my two beloved women, my mum and my wife. My mum is passed away in 2014. My wife is always my better half.

These are my observations during my fieldworks in Tibet and northwest China. When I returned, my son said I had a perfect tan.
